That’s why we encourage our clients to consider staying 6 months to one year. At Teras, clients work with their on-site case manager and our vocational coach to develop a recovery fellowship and engage work. Clients of Teras may also be involved in outpatient treatment while they develop a foundation in their recovery work, and apply to work positions. After 30 days, clients are expected to be employed while they continue progress in their recovery work. They continue to meet with their case manager weekly and participate in community support activities.

Learn about Tharros- Mens Recovery Home

Our community offers extensive structure, much of which is optional. Peer to peer support is an essential component of recovery and The Tharros House only accepts residents who have made a commitment to giving recovery a chance; we work together as a community to overcome the challenges in early recovery. Christian Santilli is the Co-Program Director at Tharros House.

I feel the group’s energy …one “I’ll try it’ leads to another courageous “I’ll do it”. Witnessing what is possible when we feel acceptance from others is powerful. We may not fully accept ourselves in the moment but by showing up the possibilities are infinite. When teaching cooking with “my guys”, I am not a professional cook; I am a human being, cooking.

At Teras, our experienced team, plus ancillary providers, provide a high level of support for clients to take action in a recovery fellowship, and engage outside structure. With 24/7 management and support , we can help you find an appropriate job, connect with the recovery community through volunteer opportunities and activities, find the right treatment resources, and build a foundation in sobriety. Learning to live a happy life free of alcohol and drugs takes time,  but you can do it if you want to. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive community, combining individual and group interactions to facilitate building a meaningful life in sobriety. Successful long-term recovery is more than just abstinence from substances it’s a lifestyle change; replacing negative or unhealthy behaviors/patterns with positive coping skills, healthy routines, community and support. We believe life balance, structure, engagement, social interactions, positive perception and challenging old behaviors/beliefs are the key to a successful recovery.
